Mediation Practice : Rule 41A, Land Court and Multiparty Disputes

Where Mediation meets the Courts

SABWiL Chambers – Mediation in collaboration with the University of Cape Town (UCT) is offering a forty hour UCT-certified mediation programme focusing on Rule 41A Court-Annexed Mediation, Land Court and Multiparty Mediation.   This SABWiL Mediation Practice course has been developed to provide specialised, practice-oriented training in emerging and complex areas of dispute resolution.

Mediation Practice: Rule 41A, Land Court and Multiparty Disputes, focuses on mediation within court-related and statutory dispute-resolution frameworks. Participants develop advanced skills in mediation process design, settlement facilitation, stakeholder management, professional drafting and dispute-resolution strategy.   A distinctive feature of the course is its specialist focus on Land Court and land reform disputes, including restitution, tenure, community and multiparty stakeholder matters. The course integrates legal principles with practical application through simulations, drafting workshops and competency-based assessments using SABWiL Chambers – Mediation precedents and templates utilised in practice. Designed for experienced professionals seeking to deepen their mediation expertise, the course prepares participants for the increasingly important role of mediation in modern dispute resolution.
